International Law firm Taylor Wessing LLP won the award for Innovation in Knowledge Management at the 2016 Business Leadership Summit held in London on September 28th.
The leading law firm was recognized as the winner for their People with Significant Control (PSC) application that launched in April of 2016. The intelligent application was built and deployed in partnership with Neota Logic, providers of intelligent software for legal and compliance.
Developed by Taylor Wessing and Neota experts, the application, which is accessible via any device, carries out a rapid online assessment of a client’s unique business circumstances and recommends the right level of legal support to comply with the new PSC rules.
Debbie Cloake, Corporate Professional Support Lawyer, at Taylor Wessing, explains, “Our new App, called the ‘TW: navigate PSC App’ offers an innovative, dynamic way for clients to access the leading expertise of our lawyers around this new legislation. It allows clients to quickly understand whether the new rules might apply to their business and connects them to our experts for further support. By combining our lawyers’ expertise and Neota’s rapid development environment, we were able to get the application live for our clients in a matter of weeks.”
Richard Seabrook, European Managing Director, Neota Logic, comments “Taylor Wessing’s PSC App highlights the potential that intelligent software has to enhance the relationship between a law firm and its clients. Through these kind of smart apps, clients can quickly get a sense of how the rules may apply to their unique business situation allowing for a more focused and valued relationship with their advisors.”
