The compliance of price-sensitive information made easy

The Market Abuse Regulations are complex and, in practice, a big challenge for organisations. Failure to comply with these regulations can have serious reputational and financial consequences. Based on years of hands-on experience, Step Up Smart and Transform Data International have developed two applications to facilitate an adequate compliance triage process surrounding the Market Abuse Regulations.

  1. Market Abuse Regulation app (MAR App)

Step Up Smart and Transform Data International have developed a very fast, easy to use and fully integrated assessment tool. It contains all relevant prescribed and advised mitigation measures/issues concerning the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).

The tool takes users through an intelligent (subject and answer dependent) questionnaire relating to all the identified critical elements of MAR. After completing the questionnaire the tool creates a customised dashboard and advise for the concerning organisation.

Elements:

  • Approximately 270 elements (questions/issues) in the questionnaire
  • Consists of a layer structure: if the main subject is not in place or relevant, no further detailed questions are displayed.
  • A distinction is made between prescribed/obligatory elements and advised elements.
  • The setup of the questionnaire can be custom made and country-specific.
  • Integrated approach covering all relevant MAR regulations elements.
  1. Price Sensitive Information App (PSI app)

The assessment of whether an issue as price-sensitive or not, is a big challenge for organisations. Failure to comply with the related disclosure and documentation procedures (as part of the MAR) can have serious reputational and financial consequences.

Transform Data International and Step Up Smart have developed an intelligent expert system, that is integrated, fast and easy to use, directly reporting the (potential) price sensitivity of an issue.

The application is based on an intelligent (subject and answer dependent) questionnaire concerning all of the critical issues that can be price sensitive, including the following workflow.

Elements:

  • Includes examples/issues that can arise for a listed organisation
  • Made up of a layer structure: if the main issue (element) is not relevant, no further detailed questions are displayed.
  • A distinction is made between non-price-sensitive, potential price sensitive and price sensitive.
  • The setup of the questionnaire can be custom made and country-specific.

Both applications are created in the Neota Logic no-code AI automation platform.

The beta release is expected to be ready in April 2020. Transform Data International and Step Up Smart are looking for partners for further development and market approach.
